Lucid Trading Review 2026: Rules, Plans, Payouts & Everything You Need to Know
Every Lucid Trading rule in one place — LucidFlex's no-buffer funded account, LucidPro's 40% consistency, LucidDaily's daily payouts, LucidDirect's straight-to-funded path, and the LucidLive cash bonus.
Lucid Trading at a glance
Lucid Trading has quietly become one of the most trader-friendly futures prop firms on the market. One-time evaluation fees with no monthly rebill, a 90/10 profit split across every funded plan, no activation fees, and a live program that pays a cash bonus just for transitioning.
But Lucid runs four active plan families plus a live program, and each has different payout math, consistency rules, and news policies. Buy the wrong one and you'll spend weeks fighting a rule you didn't know existed.
Quick verdict: Lucid is one of the best value propositions in futures prop trading right now. LucidFlex is the simplest funded account in the industry (no buffer, no consistency rule, no DLL). LucidDaily gives you daily payouts. LucidPro removes payout caps. LucidDirect skips the eval entirely. The main tradeoffs are flat payout caps on Flex and a strict 40% consistency rule on Pro.

How the Lucid Trading evaluation works
Every Lucid evaluation is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no monthly fee, take as long as you need. Hit the profit target without breaching the max loss limit and your funded account activates in 5–30 minutes with no activation fee.
The 50% consistency rule on Flex and Daily evals has cushion built in so a two-day pass is realistic. LucidDaily evals also let you choose the drawdown type at checkout: intraday for a lower price, or end-of-day for more room.

LucidPro evaluation parameters
LucidPro trades a daily loss limit for no consistency rule. You can pass in a single session.
Key insight: Flex and Daily evals are the same thing with different funded accounts behind them. Pro is the only eval with a DLL and the only one you can pass in one day.

LucidFlex review
LucidFlex is the simplest funded account in futures prop trading. No payout buffer. No consistency rule. Optional daily loss limit you set at purchase. 90/10 split.
Payouts need only two things: five profitable days per cycle at or above the minimum ($100 on $25K, $150 on $50K, $200 on $100K, $250 on $150K), and positive net profit for the cycle. Even $1 counts. The profitable-day count resets after each approved payout.
Best for newer funded traders and consistent grinders who prefer rules they can't accidentally break. Watch out for the flat payout caps — a $50K Flex tops out at $2,000 per request no matter how much you've built.
- ▸Minimum payout: $500
- ▸Maximum payout: 50% of profit up to $1,000 ($25K), $2,000 ($50K), $2,500 ($100K), $3,000 ($150K)
- ▸Payout cap does not scale with subsequent payouts
- ▸Max payouts per account: 5, then you're moved to LucidLive
- ▸No buffer balance and no payout window — request any day once eligible
- ▸After first payout the MLL locks at starting balance + $100
| Parameter | $25K | $50K | $100K | $150K |

LucidPro review
LucidPro is the uncapped plan. No sim payout caps, no scaling plan, full contract size from day one. In exchange you get a buffer, a minimum profit goal, and a 40% consistency rule on payouts.
You pick your DLL type at checkout: none, fixed ($600 / $1,200 / $1,800 / $2,700) or scaling (60% of peak EOD balance). All three payout requirements reset after an approved payout: minimum profit goal ($250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000), 40% consistency (largest single day under 40% of cycle profit), and profit above the buffer (initial MLL + $100, which you can't withdraw from).
Critical: if you trade after submitting a payout request and your balance drops into the buffer, the request may be denied. Trade as if the money is already gone. Accounts purchased or reset before 11/28/2025 are still eligible for 100% on the first $10K.
Best for experienced traders who want the largest contract size immediately and no cap on simulated growth. Watch out for the 40% consistency rule — one big day means several more trading days before you can withdraw.
| Parameter | $25K | $50K | $100K | $150K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Buffer balance | $26,100 | $52,100 | $103,100 | $154,600 |
| Min payout | $500 | $500 | $500 | $500 |
| Max payout 1 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 |
| Max payout 2+ | $1,500 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $3,500 |
| Max contracts | 2 mini / 20 micro | 4 / 40 | 6 / 60 | 10 / 100 |
LucidDaily review
LucidDaily is Lucid's daily-payout plan. No consistency rule when funded, 90/10 split, request payouts every day you're eligible. You need profit above the buffer (initial MLL + $100: $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600) and positive net profit since your last payout. Minimum payout is $500 and there's no per-request cap — you can take everything above the buffer.
Maximum daily profit is $6,000 ($25K), $8,000 ($50K), $10,000 ($100K), $12,000 ($150K). Hit it and you're automatically moved live.
News is a hard breach on this plan only. You must be flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after any event where impact is High and currency is USD. Holding or opening through that window breaches the funded account.
Best for traders who want to pull money out daily and don't trade red-folder news. Watch out for intraday drawdown on the funded account and the news rule — both are unforgiving.
| Parameter | $25K | $50K | $100K | $150K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Max loss limit | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | $4,500 |

| Consistency | None | None | None | None |
| Max contracts | 2 mini / 20 micro | 4 / 40 | 6 / 60 | 10 / 100 |
LucidDirect review (straight to funded)
LucidDirect skips the evaluation. Buy it, start building simulated profit immediately, work toward live. Note the larger MLL on $100K ($3,500) and $150K ($5,000) versus other plans.
Payouts require 20% consistency — your largest day can't exceed 20% of cycle profit, the strictest rule at Lucid — plus a profit goal: first payout $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000, subsequent payouts $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500. Minimum payout is $500 and there's no fixed payout window. Max payouts 1–3 are $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000; payouts 4–5 are $1,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500.
Best for traders with a proven, consistent system who want to skip the eval. Watch out: 20% consistency means you need at least five roughly equal profitable days per cycle. Big-day traders will struggle.
| Parameter | $25K | $50K | $100K | $150K |

| Max loss limit | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,500 | $5,000 |

Lucid Trading drawdown explained
EOD trailing (Flex, Pro, Direct, LucidLive): at the end of each session Lucid records your highest closing balance and the MLL trails up as that balance grows. Once your balance exceeds the initial trail balance (starting balance + MLL + $100), the MLL locks at starting balance + $100 and never moves again. Intraday swings don't touch it. On LucidFlex, requesting a payout also locks the MLL at the locked balance.
Intraday trailing (LucidDaily funded): the MLL trails your peak equity in real time, including open profit. Giving back unrealized gains permanently moves your floor up. If you hold through retracements, this will hurt.
| Account | MLL | Initial trail balance | Locked MLL |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,000 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| $50K | $2,000 | $52,100 | $50,100 |

Lucid Trading news trading rules
This is one of the most permissive news policies among futures prop firms. If trading FOMC and CPI matters to you, pick Flex, Pro, or Direct.
- ▸LucidFlex, LucidPro, LucidDirect: news trading allowed, scheduled or unscheduled. You own the slippage risk.
- ▸LucidDaily funded: hard breach. Flat 1 minute before and after any High-impact USD event.
Prohibited practices at Lucid Trading
Microscalping is flagged by automated detection where more than 50% of profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less. The process is manual review, written warning, then profit forfeiture and possible permanent restriction. Genuine scalping is fine.
- ▸Hedging: prohibited. On live accounts it's a permanent ban.
- ▸High-frequency trading: prohibited.
- ▸Allowed: DCA and scaling into positions, automated strategies and trade copiers (you own any software errors), flipping to satisfy minimum trading days.
- ▸Discouraged but not banned: martingaling into losers.
Trading hours, fees, resets and inactivity
Markets open 6:00 PM ET Sunday through Thursday and close 4:45 PM ET Monday through Friday, with positions auto-flattened at 4:45 PM ET. Holding past close does not fail your account on Flex, Pro, or Direct. On holidays, close manually before the altered market close. LucidLive flattens at 4:45 PM ET on Tradovate and 4:15 PM ET on Rithmic, with no swing trading and an optional auto-liquidate.
Current reset pricing isn't published in the help center. Check Propfirms.net for the latest Lucid Trading discount code before buying or resetting.
- ▸Evaluation fee: one-time, no rebill
- ▸Activation fee: $0
- ▸Resets: purchased from the dashboard, restore original balance and parameters. Not free, not automatic.
- ▸Inactivity: accounts with no $1 net P&L change in 30 calendar days are permanently deleted
- ▸Breached accounts: auto-deleted after 30 days if not reset
Payout methods and supported platforms
All platforms work with all account types. CQG routes NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. Rithmic routes MotiveWave, Quantower, Tradesea, Sierra Chart, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro and MultiCharts. This is one of the widest platform lists in futures prop trading — order-flow traders get Bookmap, Jigsaw and ATAS natively.
- ▸Plaid: instant bank transfers for US traders (dashboard > Payouts > Add Bank Account)
- ▸WorkMarket by ADP: US and international, bank transfer or PayPal, typically next business day
- ▸Crypto: international traders, BTC / ETH / LTC / USDT / USDC
LucidLive: the live account program
Lucid's live program is one of the more generous in the industry, mainly because of the Live Bonus. You enter the review pool after payout 5 on your plan, after significant lifetime payouts, after exceptional sim performance, or if you've been live before. All transitions are risk-team discretion, and each funded account with at least one payout converts to its own live account.
Live accounts start at $0 balance with daily payouts, EOD trailing drawdown starting at $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 by size, no daily loss limit, no consistency rule and the same contract limits as funded. The MLL locks at $100 once live profits equal the starting drawdown, or on your first payout request.
The Live Bonus applies the first time you move live under the new program: hit live profit equal to your starting drawdown + $100 and Lucid pays a bonus, at 90/10. Five $50K accounts moved live and each hitting target equals $9,000 bonus after split. Only on your first live trip.
- ▸All sim accounts close when you go live. Funded accounts with zero payouts get the eval cost refunded.
- ▸Nobody else in your household can trade sim while you're live.
- ▸Blowing a live account triggers a 2-week cooldown before you can buy a new eval. Reckless behavior extends it.
- ▸Hedging live = permanent ban.
| Account | Live target | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,100 | $1,000 |
| $50K | $2,100 | $2,000 |
| $100K | $3,100 | $3,000 |
| $150K | $4,600 | $4,500 |

Lucid makes it hard to get surprised. One-time fees, no activation cost, 90/10 everywhere, and the simplest funded account in the industry with LucidFlex. - ▸Choose LucidFlex if you want the fewest rules possible and you're fine with modest, predictable payouts.
- ▸Choose LucidPro if you have a consistent edge, want max contracts immediately, and can keep your biggest day under 40% of cycle profit.
- ▸Choose LucidDaily if you want to withdraw every day, don't trade news, and can manage intraday drawdown.
- ▸Choose LucidDirect if you'd rather pay more upfront to skip the eval and your P&L is naturally spread across many similar days.
- ▸Look elsewhere if you swing trade overnight, hedge, or rely on a handful of big days per month.
